Changes to Helmet/Shield Color Application, Etc.

I believe that the color customization for the Sprites in terms of helmets, shields, etc. is actually a step back from BG1. Helmet tassles for instance, can't have their colors changed (actually you can but then they revert to red after a few moments or if you switch screens). Same for shields. Additionally, Aosaw (see below) has made some progress in tweaking robes with his mod - How about implementing some of these changes, along with armor tweaks, into the game itself to make the Enhanced Edition experience for character customization that much better?
