I think she disappears after chapter four or so (if she's not in your party).

Umm... I left her where Edwin was, and ihave just defeated Mulahey. Chapter two or three, i think. By the way, Khalid died and i didnt resurrct him

Khalid dying shouldn't pose a problem. Maybe check the Neshkell Inn? That's where I usually see her, but then that's usually where I abandon her...
Did you try the tab to highlight feature? She might be hiding behind something or in a shadow.

I've definitely found her again after the Neshkel Mines, but maybe after the Cloakwood Mines she disappears?

Jaheira (and Khalid) only leave permanently if you do the Nashkel Mines before even speaking to them, like if you never even went to the FAI and just went straight to the Mines, they would be gone after you kill Mulahey. If you have them in your party at some point before then, they would just be wherever you left them.

If your reputation was not to her liking when she left I think she will disappear - not sure how low it would need to be for BGEE - for vanilla I think it was less than 6 or higher than 18 but I think they have tweaked the rep vs NPC stuff.

Yeah I don't know about the low end, but she is now perfectly happy with the high end! No whining or complaining at all when I have a 20 reputation for most of the game.

Yeah I know they tweaked the banter but don't know if they tweaked the good bye forever threshholds also.

The only way Jaheira will leave based on reputation like all other Neutural allighned NPC's is if your rep drops to 1, she will even stick with you if it goes all the way to 20 or drops to 2 although she will whine a lot, not sure but if you also have Khalid in your Party she might leave you if your reputation drops to 3 the reason being is Khalid is good allighned and thats when good charectors will ditch you and sense her and khalid are a group deal i assume when khalid breaks at 3 shell follow him.

My reputation was 9, iirc. Anyway, she said the usual sentence when you dismiss her. Nothing special.

I think it might be a bug. In vanilla this kinds of things happened from time to time.

Not sure where she and Khalid go when dismissed. Always assumed it is the FAI.

You could always use the CLUA Console to get her back. CLUAConsole:CreateCreature("Jaheir")

She also may have wandered around the area away from the spot where you left her.

But searching the entire map might be more effort than you like.

Well, if you sent her in front of a bassilisk without protection against petrification (as everyone should do to keep Khalid), she is still in the statue forest on the east side of the map.

I seem to recall (from BG1 vanilla) that the threshold that party members would leave the party on thier own was not the same as the threshold for leaving the area if they were dismissed - that they had to be beyond the highest (worst) end of their alignments "angry" scale (to the "leave" scale) to leave on their own but that they could be anywhere on their angry scale to leave the game if you dismissed them.

That said my memory is about as reliable as Nashkel Iron...
