Minsc Query SPOILER!

I entered Nashkel and saw text in the dialogue box, something like ...."Amn soldier attacks Minsc"...., I went and had a look and sure enough Minsc lay dead at his usual spot (he wasnt in my team), is this a normal occurence or a bug?

I had possibly completed Edwins quest prior to this, but I dont know if that would be a factor, maybe the game was taking him out of circulation as the terms of his quest couldnt be fulfilled.

    Was your reputation 4 or less?

    I've noticed that once you kill Dynaheir for Edwin, Minsc will tend to go Berserk at some unspecified point i the near future. Often this somehow appears as a live feed to your party, no matter where they are.

    What @Eudaemonium said. Sometimes he already rages when you return to Nashkel, sometimes it happens at a later point, and sometimes not at all (and he'll remain recruitable, even with Edwin in the party).

    He wasnt in my party at all, my rep was about 10-12, but dunno why that would matter if he wasnt in my party.

    If your rep is low, is an Amnish soldier spots you he turns hostile and attacks anything in sight (including other Amnish soldiers).

    Ah, OK, well, my rep was Average, I have been attacked as a Fallen Ranger in Nashkel, but my rep was about 4 or something crazy like that.

    Was that in the same game? Because if you passed through Nashkel whilst your rep was 4 any soldiers who saw you would remain hostile even if your rep went up to 20.
