I think those are impossible to implement because the game engine actually treats Barbarian as a Fighter kit. I'm not sure the enhanced edition changed that.
It doesn't, at least as far as I can tell via Near Infinity. Barbarian is listed under kits (which, however, *does* mean you can hack a Barbarian multi-class).

I don't think that would actually prevent a barbarian kit being added. It would really be a Barbarian (variant), shown under Barbarian on the menu.
