First party member death. Ogre Berserkers are really dangerous, just 2 of them backed up by archers threatened to take my party apart despite the rest of the game feeling like a cakewalk. Anyone know their stats?

    So, making some progress:
    Druid 3/Berserker 6
    Cleric 4/Berserker 6
    Thief 4/Berserker 6
    Thief 5/Helmite 6
    Mage 5/Berserker 5
    Skald 6 (almost 7)

The playstyle has completely flipped on its head going from massive brute force to steady steady as she goes.

Still haven't attempted the bandit camp, nosing around Durlags Tower in the meantime.

Not a no-reload game but oohh man just had the most epic SCS fight with Drasus and Co. in the Cloakwood mines. whole fight kept going until my whole party was dead and it was just the PC vs three enemies, then the minor globes finally wore off and he took them all down.

The focus of enemy mages on defensive and crowd controlling spells makes things so much more satisfying.

Nice to hear! I had a fair bit of trouble with that fight on my first encounter SCS style and I think my game stopped being no-reload about then (though I give up soon after I do a reload).

I lost the above party to a cloudkill from the ghost at the top of Durlags. Lesson learned.

Got hit with my first Insect Plague by Osmadi, I thought it was just the level 3 one and noticed I could out run it so played chasey with it for a while but figured it was only level 3 so eventually let it hit me (boy was I wrong!), got 2 of my party members too which was a pain.

    Long duration!

Carsone didn't cause the problems he did in the past when ganked appropriately.

Got to go after those pesky Druids with the purple cast animation! Same with yellow, but that's only Hold Person which is odd, because Druids don't get HP.

Just did this fight. Was pretty wary as had only 1 character with rage (the wizard who dualed a level early) so ended up sending in 4 skeletons with strength of 1 and covered them with 2*stinking cloud and cloudkill (from a spare scroll).

Coming up next ... Natasha and Davaeorn.

The second floor of Cloakwood is probably worse than the Bandit Camp thanks to the call for help component. You end up aggroing every enemy on the floor including the mage and are forced to fight in a really tight space, making the usual tactic of web+aoe damage really risky. I had to reload for that encounter more than I ever had to for Davaeorn.

I didn't find that to be the case. After the first room was cleared I went past the shrine to the Ogre Mage and then worked my way back through the hobgoblins before finishing with Natasha. Sure, all the hobgoblins activate but Natasha didn't. Skeletons took her down too (or at least drew out her most painful spells).

I got to tell you, really fricking hating no-reload for learning spells. Sure, I hit a potion before hand so have 97-98% success rate but that seems to translate to only 90%. If that.

I've just lost 3 scrolls after scribing maybe 10. Totally out of whack. The fails are all consecutive too, or at least grouped close together.
