[Request] High-resolution mod for the original Baldur's Gate

Hi! I know there is already the Widescreen Mod, which can be supplemented by this quite nice GUI. As a fan of the old, original Baldur's Gate I wonder if it would be much work to make a simple, barebone GUI to go further than the 1280 by 800 Zed Nocear's mod enables. That is all. I know that this is the forum for the enhanced edition of this game, but I am sure I am not the only one (in perhaps a minority) that still favors/likes the classic.
