help installing BG on mac

i am very frustrated as i have been patiently waiting for BGEE on mac for months now. ive never played a game on my mac before or ever used beamdog. i bought bg and now i dont understand how to install it and play. is beamdog windows only? do i have to use that wine thing to make it work? i have no idea how to go about this as im not a mac gamer. how do i get this thing up and running?

    You should have been emailed a link to download the Mac OS X Launcher. Copy that to the Applications folder, and then run it to install the game.
