Should I play with Sword Coast Stratagems? (Advice from mod users)

I love this game.

And I see the beta is out...I've never gotten to use it (as for some reason I could never get it to work on older versions of BG)

My questions to you are as follows:

01. Is this mod akin to Ascension for ToB in terms of improved dificulty? Something I never knew what I was missing in terms of fun and challenge?

02. Does it make the game a lot longer of an ordeal?

I'm debating installing it right now.

    Install it. You can adjust the difficulty btw, in that it's very modular. (I.e., You can select the components you want.) The mod makes enemies behave smarter versus 'cheating' them to make them more difficult (eg, doubling damage). It's like playing a new game almost. With spellcasters the difference is enormous. Once you give it a go, you'll find it hard to go back to vanilla.

    @Lemernis

    OK my friend I'm installing but I'm wondering about the spell tweaks aspect:

    Spell Tweaks

    Is this needed since it's saying something here about how BGEE pretty was based off of these tweaks with it's spell components?

    You downloaded from the link David provided in this thread, right?:

    Btw, this is the readme for the EE version:

    I would install it. And of course in so doing you'll choose specifically which tweaks you want. It allows you to customize.

    It is in beta, but best I can tell others are getting it to install. I have a current game underway or I'd have it installed myself. You could post for help on the G3 SCS forum too.
