So, what exactly are the mac-specific features that were added, and will they remain so permanently?

    There aren't any. I think you're thinking of the Mac launcher announcement?

    Well, the text in the launcher refers to "Mac-specific enhancements and refinements," so I was wondering what exactly those are.

    I think it just means sorting out glitches/bugs related to playing the game on a mac, not any new characters/quests/areas specifically for the mac.
