I don't know why Minsc doesn't want to join my party. I am good and all.

    Minsc will only join you if your reaction bonus is high enough. If you have low Charisma or Reputation, He'll tell you to bugger off.

    If you really want him and you don't want to reroll you can pretend to drink a charisma potion - aka use shadowkeeper to edit your charisma for the 5 seconds it takes to pick him up, then change it back.

    If you have a wizard in your group, the first level spell Friends should increase charisma for a short time.

    Also be aware that Viconia also does a reaction check against your Charisma/reputation. Also, I think that charisma might have some impact on prices.

    16+ Charisma gives you -5% off at shops for each point above 15 on you leader. You can actually get by with sickly low charisma if you stick someone with a high value as leader and have them initiate conversations.

    Charisma is also social graces in addition to looks. So if you started out being all socially awkward towards him (low reaction roll), that is a hard recovery.

    Yeah as said above, swap a high charisma NPC and make them your leader, or I guess talking to them with a higher charisma NPC would work also.

    Happened to me the other day, even as a Chaotic Evil spawn of satan Viconia refused to join me because my charisma was too low.

    Uhm... you can just talk to minsc with someone w/ decent charisma like Imoen or even Rasaad...
