Can't Get Update 7, Please Help.

I haven't played for a few weeks and last night I saw there was a new update. I clicked install and it's been in limbo ever since. I can only close it with task manager now. When I first start it up, I get "Please Wait" and the little pendulum makes a half swing then stops cold. After a long time, it says "gathering game information", but there is no progress bar or any indication that anything is happening. Everything was running fine with all the updates until last night. I'm not running any mods, just the basic game. Please Help.

    Close out of everything. Go to your installation folder and find the Data folder. Delete 766.beam and 766.status. Start the updater back up.
