OP but still fun

I am running around killing everything.
I have started the game several times importing my char each time. so far I have got my stats to:
Strengh 22
Dexterity 23
Constitution 25
Intelligence 22
Wisdom 18
charisma 24

I'm playing a Fighter/Mage/Thief

Recently added Dorn to party and Baeloth. Loads of fun.

Didn't know you could do that. Essentially, you could get 25's across the board. If you're a shorty, your saves will be crazy good. Unfortunately, I don't see how it would be anything other than redundant.

Not sure if it matters, but there is shadowkeeper and there used to be a function in character generation which allowed you to set all stats to 25 (not sure if it still works in EE). Either or both would allow you to max out your stats without having to waste time going through the game over and over and over again.

To each their own, but I personally would not want to play such a game. There are reasons why your stats are variable and between 3-18 (not counting racial adjustments). But if you are having fun playing that way, great...

@the_spyder well, if Debug Mode is set to 1 in Baldur.ini then ctrl+8 will set all stats to 18 during character creation. Or you can just console in a bunch of stat boosting tomes once the game has begun. To each their own, this certainly isn't my thing, I just definitely don't see the point of finding some roundabout way to do such things if you're going to do them. Why roll a thousand times and then replay the same character over and over when you can just get the 25 in all stats with tomes consoled in... different strokes for different folks I suppose.

I play on the IPAD so as far as I know there is no other way to increase the stats. I've completed the game many times so this is just some fun and tbh, it's amazing the new things you find in the game from playing over again. One thing I did not mention is I now have several Boots of the cheetah which is great for all your npc's to have.
It's just adding a bit more fun to a game I have finished many times.

@jaysl659, it isn't my thing either. I would not play such a game, but others apparently do. More power to em.

sounds to me like you wouldn't have a good time taking the 75 stat no reload challenge :P

actually i think shorty bonuses are capped at con 18. there's not extra bonuses after 18...or maybe it's 19. either way one of those :P

Actually, the 2nd edition AD&D Player's Handbook says that a +1 bonus is given for every 3.5 points. So while the book only lists bonuses for up to 19, the table can be expanded for unusually high scores. Thus, for scores above 19, the table works out like this:
    20 +5
    21-24 +6
    25 +7

Not implemented. In BG shorty saves cap at 18 Con.

(easy to test for yourself by making a shorty barbarian).

Man, guess I know what I'll be fixing next for my copy. Seems rather ridiculous it wasn't put in concidering how easily you can reach 21 if you use Draw Upon Holy Might.

To me it seems like some mad cow disease, I have fun if the game gets MORE difficult, but to each his own.
