[BUG] Candlekeep - Firebead's Scroll/ Familiar Sound / Doubled Neera / AI Script / Relair / Buttons

KozaroKozaro Member Posts: 71
It's impossible to end this quest. Tuthoril's indiferrent about inquiring him about the scroll. He's repeating over and over about meeting with Gorion. My "Hardcore" gaming experience attempt ended here due to this bug and increasing frustration towards them.

IDK if Familiars should share 1/4 or 1/2 max HP, but the bonus they give is 6hp. Fairy Dragons did have sound effects in BG2, and in BG anything that "lives" in this game, even chickens can produce 2 or more different sound effects. There's no reason that familiars should reamain silent. Also, their ability to cast sphere of invisibilty doesn't work.

Neera, ater taking her from Firendly Arm is duplicated. One in team. On standing right in her place. Another Gem Bag is possible to obtain after vanquishing her clone.

AI SCRIPT (Aggresive Mage) didn't work. My mage is more likely to engage himself in melee combat rather than cast a deadly Melf's Acid Arrow from the safe distance.

Relair's Mistake have 6553 charges. Cool, but it's icon would be more esthetic if this number was hidden.

The menu and in-game buttons look ugly and stretched in higher resolutions. It's no use to be them that big at this scale.

Everyone in the Inn are mad after killing Winthrop but none does care when Firebead is muredered - so there's the option to farm free experience points (2700) that early in game without any consequences.

While resting it is possible to click several times at the rest button - even if the animation is active it stills works. According to that farming exp in this manner is still possible. As far as I know there was change at cavern where Relair's Coat can be found - in order to decrease the farming possibilities. It's quite simple to leave cavern, click rest 10 times and earn 4000exp just after killing Sirinas with poor AI Script. They could randomly make use of their bows not only act in a way that's too easy to predict.

In BG:EE there's a focus to ADD CHARACTERS/ ADD NEW CLASSES (which are imbalanced). Losing new character (which doesn't fit in the game due to his overscaled dialogue options) in battle is a necessity to re-load the game because of denied access to the game's content. It would be fun if in this "Enhanced" edition the developers focus on non-used character abilities like the "Infravision" which was the most useless spell in RPG's history ever. Any quest, even considered as an easter egg, that would prove otherwise would be a nice touch, as well as acknowledgment of AD&D system could be an inspiration to improve the AD&D-based game itself.

    2) Familiers were nerfed in latest patch, they only start with half as much HP as they used to, and I think some only gain access to certain spells/abilities at higher levels. Not sure why your familiar is mute though.

    7) You still get the reputation hit from killing Firebead. And if you're ok with losing reputation, you are always able to kill a bunch of guards (or whoever, really) in order to get xp, and not suffer any other consequences. Nothing all that special about killing Firebead.
    9) I just want to mention that you can always resurrect dead characters at temples, as long as they weren't 'chunked'.

2') I agree with that nerf. Nevertheless it would be great if familiars had full HP information, even after hitting the Tab button, in order to effectively use them in battle. I've checked Imp's sounds - they worked correctly. The mute problem is of the Fairy Dragon.

7') That ammount of experience points seems too big at the first level of play. And the reputation loss is easy to regain due to his pocket gold.

    10) Summon Familiar spell description ends with "Regenerates 1HP/". I think there is missing "round."

I think there's also a bug with gnome stats (I think maybe they're limited to 16 WIS instead of 17, or something like that). I believe both are solved by the hotfix in that thread (about 5 posts down).

    12)
Current Behaviour: When asked Familiar tells his master he's wounded even at max HP.
Expected Behaviour: Familiar should not whine that he's one paw in a grave at max HP.

    13)
Current Bahaviour: Shank and Carbos: After escaping from a murderer (typical reaction for inexperienced 20 years old human being) outside the house no one gave a damn about this assasination attempt. Even Gorion watched indiferrently at a man who is trying to rip off the CHARNAME's guts.

Current Behaviour: The similar situation occurs in Lathander's Temple (East to Beregost): 4 heavy armed Sirinas and one bad-ass Cleric haven't moved a finger while the battle-crazed Dread Wolf, who had chased over my character... was devouring his corpse already.

Expected Behaviour: Gorion should protect his child at any cost. Good-alligned priest should lend a hand towards an intelligent being in a certain-death scenario.

    14)
    Current Behaviour: Lvl 1 Bounty Hunter with INT:15 (L+5) AND WIS:15 (L+5) has a Lore Score (L) of 9.
Expected Behaviour: L should be set to 13.
