Thank You for Making Charm Person Useful Again

I personally love the nerf on Algernon's cloak. Still useable once a day, but not *infinite-all-the-time* usage. Means there might even be a day or two where I memorize charm person, if I need to charm multiple people in an area. Before that change to the cloak, CP was in the same territory as Infravision in terms of uselessness.

Algernon's Cloak was my favourite, most broken item in the original game. Any character can do the game solo with that cloak and enough patience. Limiting it to once/day was the best/most heartbreaking decision they've made imo.

Charm Person is still garbage to cast, though. Magic Missle, Chromatic Orb, and Spook all beat it out for lvl 1 spell slots.

Yeah you don't take it constantly, but I'll take it if there's, say, 3 people I want to charm and I don't wanna sleep 24 hours to do it... not that sleeping matters mind you, but I try to keep my game time counter reasonable.

Haha, I've racked up almost a years game time before I got to Baldur's Gate my first time through thanks to constantly resting.
