Can't get to the lighthouse?

Fairly simple. I'm in chapter 5, about to enter BG for the first time but would like to clear out all the other areas first (except Ulgoth's/Durlag's). I just can't seem to get the Lighthouse to show up on my map, even though I've tried several different areas for entering.

Do I need to get a quest for this area to open up?

    If I remember correctly, you need to exit High Hedge through the west, either from higher or lower bit, I can't remember. Try both.

    One of them should open it.

    IIRC west from Beregost is the coastline region with the shipwreck and The Surgeon, not the Lighthouse. You have to go west from the area with Bassilus.

    There are two areas, one is High Hedge -> West and the other is the map below High Hedge -> West.
