Do (Improved) Chaos shields still stack in a spell sequencer or contingency?

Planning a wild mage run through the game and i remember from BG2 that if you put chaos shields in a contingency or sequencer, they would stack.
Can anyone confirm if this is still the case or have they "fixed" this issue?
