    Well, I suppose they could with a real life Dungeon Master. So an alternate PnP version then ;)

    Yes, doable but BG would have to be remade into basically an old school text adventure. It could be done. Example: after leaving Candlekeep the player reads what happens, and then has a list of choices. Go on to Friendly Arms Inn; try to return to Candlekeep; explore the area; go south; go east; etc.

    It would be a great Kickstarter project!

    Baldur's Gate the text adventure. I see no reason why it wouldn't work.

    I would rather see them focus on the needs of the majority of players. I don't see how spending time on this project would help the majority of classic BG players.

    I'm always up for the idea of more people getting to enjoy awesome things, and Baldur's Gate is pretty good.
