BG2 EE. Keeping increased stats for NPCs on game import

I'm curious, what's about additional stats (stat increasing books and mans) gained in BG EE for NPCs that are in BG2 EE too?

If I feed a book of strength to Minsk and Boo, will they have strength increased by one in BG2 EE (in case of game import of course)?

    Well, unless they change the BG2:EE NPCs many of recurring characters already have higher stats than they did in BG. Minsc has gained 1 dex and con, Jaheria a stunning 3 dex and Viconia 3 wis. So theoretically if you wanted to import your BGI NPC stats to BGII they would most likely be worse than if you didn't.

    I always took it that Viconia's was meant to represent you using all three Wis tomes on her during your travels. How Jaheira's dex jumped up by 3 is another matter entirely. Late night shenanigans?

    Minsc's Con goes up one point as well.

    And Edwin's strength goes from 9 to 10, IIRC.
