Help, I'm lost confused and really inexperienced with this kind of problem (main in-game screen)

(Apologizing for bad English in advance). I have looked around in the forums to find a problem like this, but I don't know what a problem like this is called or what I should do about it, no matter where I look. At first I thought I was missing a patch, but it seems like steam keeps me updated on the patches.
Anyway, this is the problem, it all went well and without problems until I had created a character and my character started outside the inn in candlekeep: http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/594747333335605988/51B3B8FFA1F10F3332F5CC3EB92D936CF2BDD388/
I know how the ingame is supposed to look like, and this is not it. It is black where the in-game map should be and the in-game map is instead on the rest of my menus-stuff, or whatever it's called. When I'm looking at my inventory, stats, spells and etc. everything looks like it should and there are no problems at all (like this http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/594747333335720817/ACC0A3EFFA6039ED36D2902B4525DCE0D2BE6F43/ ). So it is only in the in-game mode that the game looks like this.
Does anyone have an idea of what the problem is or what can be done about it? And I am sorry if the answer was already in the forums. I just simply could not find it
