Windows 7 volume mixer not remembering BGEE volume settings.

What's occuring:
When BGEE is restarted the volume level in the win7 volume mixer is being set to the maximum allowed level (100.00%).

What should be occuring:
Volume should be maintaining it's previous value. If BGEE's volume is set to 47.653% of maximum allowed level before it is closed, when it is restarted it should resume at 47.653% of maximum level.


Notes:
I'm not sure why this is happening, but it only happens for BGEE. I've tried using a shortcut, launching the .exe directly and launching through the Steam library. It makes no difference.
