Let Kills From Trap/Enemy-NPC Effects Give Experience

Currently, If a triggered preset trap results in the death of an enemy NPC, no experience is given out.For example, in the Cloakwood Mines there is a trap that releases a lightning bolt. That lightning bolt goes on to kill 3 mine Guards, yet I get no experience for having cause this. It's true that none of my NPCs set the trap, but in triggering it we did manage to kill experience-giving creatures. Why shouldn't we reap the benefits of causing their deaths?

This really applies to effects like this in general. If an enemy mage casts a lightning bolt at me, and the way I'm standing causes it to ricochet and kill the mage that fired it, no experience is given. Why should I be denied experience for being creative in winning the battle? There doesn't seem to be a point in denying experience for this.
