difference between the beamdog and mac appstore version?

As the title topic says... i've bought the beamdog version beacause i never heared about the mac appstore version... can someone says to me if there are important differences?

    The biggest (only?) difference is that when a patch is released, you'll be getting it from the App Store instead of Beamdog, which means you might have to wait a week or so to download it.

    I will confirm the only - the binaries are the same.
