Maybe not a well received suggestion, but made anyway. Charisma shoud have influence over the effects of enchantment school spells, at least on charm kind of magics, they surelly do.

So the better way to simulate that on the game would be a re-write of the enchantment spells, basing the duration and saving throws bonus/penality on the caster current charisma.
The stats in general should have been more important in BG:EE, an wizard with 14 of inteligence in this game has no difference to a wizard with 18 of inteligence, besides the limit of spells that he can record, which can be solved with a potion of genius, and chance of fail to scribe a scroll, which can be overcome by setting temporary the difficult to easy. But in this thread i'm calling the discussion over charisma bonus to Enchantment spells (and habilities or item effects).

Everyone their own way to play, I guess..
Illusionists could add a bonus to Illusion spell DCs based on Cha, too (but not Enchantment spells).
