Evil question BG2 *spoilers*

I know charname will revert to neutral evil if the evil path is resorted too with the tears of bhaal. However I cannot remember what happens to the rest of the party, I'm a little concerned about the party's rangers and pallidins etc ...

Nothing, really - alignment and reputation are two separate systems. If your reputation drops below a certain number, Good-aligned characters (such as Rangers and Paladins) will leave the party. But if you keep it in the 7-10 range they'll stick around.

Does this mean that you can be a Neutral Evil un-fallen Ranger?

No, ... it just means that a pallidin or ranger in the party won't become fallen during hell if you make evil choices... assuming there isn't too much reputation loss if i understood that right. If your charname makes evil choices in hell you will fall.

You can be a NE Ranger if you edit it in Shadowkeeper. But you still fall if your rep goes below... 7, or indeed if you choose one of the evil options in Hell.
