Quick question about importing saves into BG2

I know your character's stats and levels and proficiencies stay the same, and I *think* you keep some items, but do Imoen, Viconia, Minsc and other returning NPCs keep their levels and proficiencies from your imported game or are they updated and changed? If they are changed, anyone know if they plan to make it so they don't change in BG2:EE?

I honestly like Imoen better as a pure thief.

    I don't think they'll do that officially , but in BG2 there were mods and editors that we could use to adjust skills and items.
