Where are my CRE files?

Hi all,

I'm playing BG:EE through Steam but I can't seem to find my CRE files, Override folder or the 00776(sp?) folder. I first read about these files due to SK and then I found I just needed my Chitin.key file so I found that was in my BG:EE root and didn't investigate anymore at the time.

Now I'm unable to find the above files, but I'd like to see what is available for CLUA spawning, etc!

    You won't find them in the game directory. You must use editors like Near Infinity or DLTCEP, there you will see them.

    If you edit the CRE files via DLTCEP or Shadow Keeper and save them, they will be saved in override folder as .cre files. These files override the game's original ones. If you delete them, all changes you or mods made will be gone and the game will revert the creature back into its original, vanilla self.
