How to change portraits with ShadowKeeper?

Hi all,
I can't seem to change portraits using ShadowKeeper. An old forum post about SK said to put portraits in the Override folder...
Now I've created a CRE file and placed it in %root_of_bgee%\Override and I can now summon that CRE so I know that folder works but I still can't see my portraits (which are all available and accessible when making a single player character so I know they're correct at least)
I've also tried populating the empty folder "Portrait" in %root_of_bgee% but to no avail too.
I'm at a loose end now, please help!

I am editing .chr files of characters I created.
Simply downloaded Near Infinity and could easily edit the files there.
For anyone finding this looking how to do this:
1. Download Near Infinity: http://sourceforge.net/projects/nearinfinity/?source=dlp
2. Boot NI and find your chitin.key file (for steam gamers that is %steam_install_directory%\SteamApps\common\Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition\
3. Once chitin.key is loaded expand the "Characters" folder and click on the .CHR file
4. Scroll down to "Small Portrait" / "Large Portrait" and edit away - works perfectly
