Archers, crossbows, and Grand Mastery

The number of attacks for an archer with a crossbow is significantly less than the same character with a bow of any type — even at Grand Mastery. I'm talking 2 APR at 7th lvl with a crossbow vs. 7/2 APR with a bow at the same lvl.
I mean, I get the logistics of using a crossbow (cranking) vs. a bow (drawing a string). But I think the crossbow loses out still, especially if an archer is able to get Grand Mastery in it. These are awesome weapons, and they shouldn't go to waste.
Suggested change: Increase the damage of bolts to 1d10, in addition to getting at least half the number of APR as a bow (rounding up).
