Helpful out of part NPCs

One thing I really enjoy about the Copper Coronet fight (after you free the slaves), is that Nalia will help you fight, even if she's not in the party.
I think it'd be cool to see all out of party NPCs with this attitude (I believe it's based on faction, such as guards)
Just seems silly that if I'm attacked, my friends stand and watch
