BG:2 Blue screen and lost saves: Help would be appriciated!

Saved games still exist in the "Save" folder but does not appear when I try to load a game. Those saves that I was not playing on when my computer crashed (non BG-related crash) still appears. What can I do?

    @JosefineS
    did you reinstall the game to a different folder? ..\program files\gog.com\baldur's gate soa

    and the next time ...\program files\baldur's gate\shadows of amn\

    You should double check the shortcut you are currently using to start the game against the folder you are looking at you saves being in.

    look in your baldur.ini in your BG2 folder and make sure the save folder is in the right path as is indicated by your baldur.ini something like this:

    HD0:=F:\BGII - SoA\
    CD1:=F:\BGII - SoA\CD1\
    CD2:=F:\BGII - SoA\CD2\;F:\BGII - SoA\CD2\
    CD3:=F:\BGII - SoA\CD3\
    CD4:=F:\BGII - SoA\CD4\
    CD5:=F:\BGII - SoA\CD5\

    make a copy of your save folder (better safe than sorry)

    do the repair next

    the easiest way really is to just start from previous save if you are missing 1 hour of gameplay that is not worth 3 hours of repairing and searching for things

    @Samus Thank you for your advice. I'm not familiar with Shadow Keeper though, do you think you can explain to me a bit more in detail how I can see if the files are corrupted? I doupt it will say "Corrupted! Be ware!" or something like that ;) As you might understand, I'm a real noob on these matters ;)

    @smeagolheart I have not reinstalled my game at all! So that wouldn't be the issue then, right? I was playing on a quicksave game,
    blue screen,
    restart,
    load game,
    quicksave is suddenly gone,
    loaded my autosave instead,
    blue screen strike again,
    and next time I try loading a new game my autosave game is also missing.
    However, I googled around for a bit, and checked my "save" file in the BG2 folder and all my saves are there! Even the quicksave and autosave... So I'm confused :P

    Did you burn the savegame in a cd-dvd? Check if they are marked as read only (they must not be marked read only)

    load any save
    make any new save
    is it working?

    maybe reinstall the game

    @Pibero Um no, I don't think so. I don't even use CD's when I play, purchased and downloaded the game from GOG.com. Do you mean I should check the files in the save-folder? I'm not quite sure I understand what you mean, sorry! As I said... I'm not guilty of being good at computers, but I'm trying at least. :)

    @zur312 That works yes, and it appears in my "save" folder too. And yes, reinstallation is always an option I guess, but I probably wont do that. The thing is that I didn't want to have to replay almost from the beginning.. Just replaying BG2 while waiting for NPC banter pack and DSotSC to be released for BG:EE.

    EDIT: Ooops, seems like I missed your first post @zur312! But yes I agree, but will probably just stop playing instead though if no one has a magical solution but thank you for you help!

    I mean.
    Right click on the quicksave folder then go to properties.
    If you see the "read only" flag that's the problem. Unflag it and it will work.
    It usually (but not only) happens when you burn the savegame in a cd-dvd.
