So. . . how's about it?
Attribute Tomes, maybe a part in the game, and this would happen twice, where you would be allowed to choose a certain Tome that increases one attribute by 1 point, permanently. Acquiring the Tomes would require a Quest attached, however. No finding Tomes of Dexterity conveniently placed near the last Dungeon areas.
