how can i beat them?
they regenerate or something like greater werewolf
they cast firestorm
they cast fireball
everything hits for like 70~
they cast lower fire resist and in few seconds from +100 there is -128 NICE!

i tried buffing/cheesing/runing etc. nothing works

the best i could do was bearly damage

i am in watchers keep are these fire giant scripted to the fire room on 2nd floor of watchers keep? i kind of can't remember from my previous tactics enconuter with them. They were not originaly in fire room, just north-west of the chromaticdemon with books and furniture.

They are impossible, aren't they. The only way I have ever been able to deal with them is with a Fighter/Mage using Improved Haste, Time Stop, & Kai (if the Fighter is a Kensai). But I suspect that your Kensai/ Mage has not yet reached Level 18 as a mage.

I suspect that all you can do is come back later, much later.
I take it that your Wizard Slayers weren't able to stop the Fire Giants' spell-casting.

Have you tried using a few Webs and spamming with Cloud Kills while having your Wizard Slayers hit them with ranged weapons in order to stop their spell casting?

If that were to work I might even try using a Wizard Slayer myself.

I'm not quite sure it was in Watchers keep, but as I remember it you had multiple elemental rooms, you just need to bring the fire elementals in the ice room were they go down easy with no respawn, then you can easily hack those giants.
This was in vanilla however, never played with mods before i played EE

In the WK room, you need to lure the fire elementals to ice room. There are a few elementals spawning so be sure to kill them all. Then you can kill the fire giant. You will fight groups of these monstroties in Yaga Shura temple, too!

They can not see invisible, so make your whole party invisible first. Instant death effects are your only way to kill them reliably. A high lvl mage with many spell slots is a must. Use project image for more spells. Start with time stop, go improved alacrity, and cast a Greater malison to weaken their saving throws. Then in the time stop, tag each giant with at least 3 finger of death spells or disintegrates. Wail of the banshee can work if there are a lot of them, at least one can fail a save vs death magic.Always be sure to cast invisibility before time stop and/or alacrity ends, or the surviving giants will do you in.

Try backstabbing them. Use the boot of speed, run behind the corner and backstab again.

If you can use a timestop spell, you may as well shapechange and mind drain them to death. However, you wont earn exp this way.

You can also abuse Mislead and Powerword:Blind spells. The giants are cheesy so you can go all cheese on their oversized butts.

And that's why not everyone can play with Tactics+SCSII at Insane ;)

The better are you TACTICS and STRATAGEMS, the less time you will "waste" to finish it ^_^

I usually send in a single fighter, buffed to the extreme; as much fire resistance as possible, and all the damage output I can muster. It's easy once you have Timestop - a K->M can kill about 3 giants before it wears off. Before that, though, they are indeed quite challenging to defeat. Backstab is certainly one way, though you may not be hitting for enough at low levels and they'll eat you alive as soon as you un-stealth. Might have to skip certain areas for a while!
