Berserker=> Cleric. Clerics spell selection is slightly better suited for self-buffing to fight. Over the course of the trilogy, Flails, Warhammers and Maces beat out schimitars and clubs as a set of weapon choices. Also, in BG2 there is a spike in the experience required for Druids thats quite annoying.
Assuming you want to choose on powergaming rather than roleplay of course.
Honestly go with either, but I favour the Berserker/Druid. There are so many ways to pump up the utility of characters in BG1/BG2, especially potions that I don't think either is any better. Besides which there is more NPC options for clerics in both games than for druids so just from that standpoint you might be better off going with a Berserker/Druid (unless you don't want a second divine spellcaster in your party).
Some of the Druid benefits in BGEE are the ability to use Drizzt's Frostband scimitar, which is pretty sweet given both its attack roll/damage bonuses and its fire resistance (50%). It frees up Rings of Fire Resistance for your NPC's (and since you won't be using second level spells for much other than slow poison you can get 100% easily by casting the second level spell "Resist Fire/Cold" on yourself). Later into the game you can get Call Lightning, Summon Insects, Call Woodland Beings, Iron Skins, Insect Plague, and Pixie Dust, all of which have their own uses.
For BG2EE I guess we will have to see if they address the experience gaps or not. Either way there are plenty of ways to pump up any fighter that I don't think it will be an issue.
Berserker druid dude, while berserker/cleric offer you more buff spells, simply having lvl 5 iron skin and lvl 7 regeneration make your character pretty powerful. Normally people that doesn't like jaheira for example, are people that didn't tried play with her in ToB, she became a destruction machine there.
From a role playing point of view I really like Berserker/Cleric. He sounds like a religious fanatic, who gets all worked up about bringing his truth to the heathens, even if he has to bash heads to do it.
Surely I can't be the only one that prefers the illigal, yet strangely amusing Berserker/Bard combination...? Crushing your enemies with the backside of your music instruments has such a magnificient, noble feeling to it.
I had a Berserker->druid last playthrough. Called him Sir Bearington. The stat requirements are crazy and I min/maxed him, so the strenght belt ended up DOUBLING his intelligence (he kebt the belt on even after I got his strenght to 19 via tome)!
He destroyed everything so fast (staff all the way) I didn't even need his spells...

Seriously now, if you go Cleric/Ranger, you get both Cleric and Druid spells.
But if you want Berserker/Something, then cleric will give you more damage, druid will make you a better tank.
ALSO I AM ANGRY
I AM AN ANGRY BEAR
I AM GOING... BEAR-SERK
(You do know the origin of Berserker, right?)
