@EntropyXII: True, you didn't mention Broodmothers. It's just that your threesome somehow made me think of victims caught by the Darkspawn. Weird connection, I know. Now that I think about it, that foursome indeed is a better association to be made with what you said. But then I never let my Warden do that, as she's got some sense of decency.
@demented: How come that you didn't know? It's implied several times as you travel through the Deep Roads, and it's written down in a Codex Entry after you have defeated your first Broodmother enemy. I think there only is one in Origins anyway. Didn't you finish the game fully or something? Basically all of Origins is about finding out where the Darkspawn come from and who is 'leading' them (the latter would be the Archdemon).
I meant the foursome with Zeveran, Leliana and Isabel. I suggest you watch it; the dialogue sounds like it comes right out of a bad porno...not that I've ever watched porn or anything.
@Kitteh_On_A_Cloud based on what's said in DA:O, it sounds more like broodmothers are created by force-feeding them the Tainted flesh (i.e. creatures that are afflicted by the darkspawn taint). It's possible to see the broodmother process as rape (there's a line about being "violated", etc.), but that's only one possible interpretation.
It's a pretty dark game, but it was done so well. Makes me think about how dark Baldur's Gate could seem if it too was given the DA makeover. Think of the catacombs of Candlekeep... that would be creepy as hell!
@demented: Oops, my bad! Sorry. Yeah, I never saw that scene, so I got no clue. @TJ_Hooker: I thought it was a combination of both the fleshfeeding and rape... But you might be right. It would make the whole deal seem a little bit less horrible...But just a little bit... @Magnus_Grelich: Wasn't there a fan project out there with exactly that goal? I'm not sure, though... It would certainly be great!
@EntropyXII :Actually it would be, although it does depend somewhat on what exactly you have in mind when you talk about character customisation.
Firstly in terms of character, there are lots of choices in terms of how to develop your character in fighting style, for example you can become an expert using signs, the game's equivalent of magic, or you can excel in sword-fighting, or become proficient with potions/traps/bombs to deadly effect.
Secondly in terms of character customisation over the course of the game, there's a great deal of choice which has a defining impact on your character (so much so in fact, that in the Witcher 2 you get a completely different Chapter II depending on what choice you make at the end of Chapter I). For example, you can choose to align yourself with different factions/characters which has real gameplay ramifications.
On the flip-side, you can't really BE a different character than Geralt (the Witcher), who remains fairly neutral but has his own motives and agendas. Part of that is necessary, because it's integral to the strength of the plot.
On a purely aesthetic level you can customise your appearance a bit, changing hairstyles and such.
Overall I would liken the level of character customisation to Planescape. There's not as much flexibility as Baldur's Gate but there's certainly enough there to let you have a meaningful impact on the gameplay experience.
I like where you're going. However, we shouldn't be limited to just sexing women. If I'm going to be forced to watch awkward badly made sex scenes then I want to see a threesome with Irenicus, Imoen and a kobald.
