Qestlines for new npc's

Hi fellow people with to much time on our hands,

I just started a new playthrough with all dwarves, me as a F/T, Kagain and Yeslick when I reach him.

I wanted to do the 3 new npc quests and I wonder if someone could tell me (PM is ok) how I can finish each of them with as little playtime as possible. I prefer to remove this guys and only pick them up again when it's time for next "chapter" and then remove them again.

Hope I make some sense......

It really depends on how long you keep them in your party - the more you talk to them, the sooner their dialogues will trigger their quests. Neera's is easiest to complete, since you only have to go to Adoy's Enclave and clear it out once she mentions it; Dorn's will take considerably longer because you can't complete the last part until you have access to Baldur's Gate itself (chapter 5). No idea about Rasaad, never had him in any of my parties...

But dont I have to be in Baldurs Gate for late parts of Neeras quest??

Maybe I should rummage the world before I pick them up

I hope you have high charisma if you plan to run with Yeslick and Kagain only.

Anyway: Pick Neera up as soon as you meet her. Her quest usually triggers before I even finish the mines.
Dorn: Talk to him in FAI, he'll join you when you first try to travel to Nashkel Mines. After that, you can go directly to East of Mines and fight Kryll (there is a dialogue with hints, but not neccessary). After that, you can park Dorn until you finish Cloakwood; get him back, head to bridge to BG and do the final quest battle. Rasaad's quest doesn't start before access to the city. I haven't played it, but I assume you would get the dialogues soon after he joins, like Neera.

You need Rasaad in the party for about 1-2 weeks of ingame time to trigger his dialogues. After that, head to the docks district in Baldur's Gate and it should trigger his quest. I think you might need to go at night, but I'm not clear. My recommendation would be to leave him in Nashkel until chapter 5 and then just take him to the city. You can always rest in the royal suite of an inn for 2 weeks, getting drunk all day, until he confides his life's story to you. For some reason. You seem like a really standup person, after all.

I have 15.....1 book and Algy's cloak should give me 18......any special reason??

My first ever less than full party and i thought I'd give the shorties some love =)

Reason: Kagain and Yeslick are scripted to fight.

With Yeslick being late to the party, and 18 cha, that might work. I wouldn't count on it tho.

Hmmm, I guess I'll just have to wait and see....

All gnomes seem hard, all halfers perhaps then if the dwarves cant be friends

Tiax and Quayle don't get along either.

Halfling party would be Montaron and Alora? They don't fight, but unless you use a mod to move her starting location you won't be getting Alora until Baldur's Gate.

Oh, I thought "shorty party". Either way, I'd relocate them. 3 shorties in the city, 1 in the mines... leaves you with Kagain and Montaron for a long, long time.
