So I just recruited Baeloth. The drow from the Black pits. I'm guessing he'll betray me somewhere? Cause if he was a perm party member he would have had all the lore stuff like rasaad and neera did right? Either way. He's hilarious, and I love Tiax's response to his top 5 comment. I'm so glad the Enhanced Edition happened

    So now my question is...When we go to the underdark in BG2 does he leave? He has to right? He has no interest in helping us. Id love to have him along for ToB though

    It hasn't been announced that he will be in BG2:EE. His appearance in BG1 was merely as an 'easter egg'. He doesn't have any kind of quest associated with himself and does not betray you in BG1.

    Baeloth will be appearing in BG2:EE, but not as a party member. Enjoy him while you can. :)

    In response to a Twitter request for an evil thief in BG2EE, @PhillipDaigle had this to say:

    "Baeloth might have a cameo in BG2EE. We have a fourth NPC planned that may be relevant to your interests."

    Also:

    "Rasaad, Dorn, and Neera will all be returning in Baldur's Gate 2: Enhanced Edition. They'll have quests that span SoA to ToB, and will interact with the other existing NPCs. As I mentioned on Twitter, there is one more NPC to be announced. Baeloth will not be returning as a party member. He's busy with other stuff during that time period.
