    With a 20 Constitution?

Yep, average HP should be 124.5

Did you import the character from BG1 (original) to BG2?

There's a bit of a F up during the transfer for non-multiclass characters, if you don't hit back instead of accept at kit selection, it DRAMATICALLY lowers your hp totals, for some reason (you can still pick a kit, you just have to make sure to hit back instead of accept).

Actually, I think I did. Could you explain what you mean though? If I can't hit accept, how can I choose a kit by pressing back?

Right now my party isn't what i'd say down right powergaming one, but definately a very strong one, very much OP vs the games difficulty.

Charname is Half-orc Fighter/Thief, 19 str, 18 dex, 19 con. Dualing longswords. (ridiculous damage)
(Pipping up Bastardsword for Albruins poison immu and balduran's, also plan on Foebane/Purifier combo in early SoA, cheesing through Watchers Keep, and upgrade them in ToB.
Yes, he will be a max hp, max ac, max attack bonus, max stealth, max attacks, magic immune, lock picking, trap removing/setting, backstabbing death machine)
Kagain with Dex gloves and Str belt, full plate, shield and axe. 19 str, 18 dex, 20 con.
(It's like.. he's a monstertruck. Set script to Standard Attack and just let him run across the map)

Imoen 4Thief->5Mage (Used all thief points for setting traps) Bow + spells = win
Neera - More spells = more win

Branwen for le heals (though i don't really need them anyway... speeds up the occational rest though..)

Carrying Dorn with me atm to get Albruin/elven chain, after which I'll dump his useless ass.
(So he has high str.. he lvls too slow as a pally, has too low Con to be a tank anyway and really is quite redundant due to Charname being murder on legs)

Think I might pick up Tiax for the lols later on.. Already have my two melees and the healer but yeah.. more spells = more win! xD

hahaha a Paladin, with an evil wizard, a blackguard, a murderous half-ling and a drow in tow.. now -that- is an unlikely scenario if ever there was one (Unless the latter 4 were chasing the first...)

    elminster, I salute you.

    Half-orc Cleric/Thief (teamed up with a gnome Illusionist/Thief)

why second thief? go for inuslionist/fighter and you are good to go
Two so you can split the skills between them allowing both to be useful (locks or traps) AND stealthy much earlier or to allow the illusionist to crank up detect illusions - in short there are just too many thief skills for a single thief to become much more than semi- competent in more than a couple in BG1 - you always have to choose between them - with two you can have it all...

Besides they make a cute couple and there's lots of RP fodder in a two thief pair.

I'm by no means a power gamer... But I find my most powerful characters typically to be Fighters (possibly with the Berserker Kit)... I just send the fighter in to take care of the enemies and if needed support with mages and other ranged attacks. With Plate Mail (which may or may not have been looted off a guard who may or may not have been dead), they seem to become rather difficult to hit for most enemies quite early... By the time I reach Baldur's Gate they had to crit to hit him and a helmet turned it into a regular hit.

    My Half-Elf Bard, solo.

It is good to see you again @ZanathKariashi I was curious how do you handle the battle against the Dopplegangers in the Duchal Palace. I tried it with my a 75 roll speed running Bard (Obviously not optimum) but ran into difficulties in that particular fight. Keeping myself alive is not a problem, killing the Dopplegangers fast enough was...
Casting Glitterdust might help? On top of wands of monster summoning and any pre-buff's you can do (haste etc). My first run through with BGEE was with a jester, but it wasn't solo so I don't know how effective that would be.

Hasted Monster summons, and then just chunked them in melee as myself, also hasted (19 natural str, DWing Stupifier/Varscona).

    @Gandalfportraitguy

Back and accept do the same thing. You just pick your kit or true-class like normal, and then hit back, and it accepts the kit anyway, but doesn't screw up your HP (well, technically, hitting back raises your max hp by 1...but that's a small price to pay for not losing half of it).

I was thinking the most powerful PC possible would be a good aligned human Kensai dualled to Mage at level 7. Become a grandmaster in scimitars.

Unfortunately, this character takes forever to really shine, and takes a bunch of metagaming too.

Even though you're Good, you need to take out Drizzt for his weapons. On top of that, to become a GM in a weapon, you need to stay as a 5th level Mage until you have the XP to become an 8th level Mage. This is because the Mage gets another proficiency at level 6, but your Kensai needs to be active for you to be able to place that point into Scimitar.

This would be total overkill when the character finally reaches all the levels you need, but you're either a squishy fighter or an under-levelled Mage for most of the game.
