Offhand APR and throwing weapons

Just a quick question since I can't check this myself right now.

When using a throwing weapon like a throwing axe, does an offhand weapon like belm give an extra RANGED attack per round with throwing the axe?

You can't dual wield with throwing weapon.

Really? I never actually tested it so I just assumed. So if I had Azuredge in my main hand, I cannot hold any weapon at all in my off hand? Just a shield or no item?

Well darn. Been playing the game since it released and I never bothered to check that.

Oh well. Need to alter my dwarven thrower build it seems. :)

    Thanks for the input, guys.

    Simple, easy, cheating :P

The way I understand it, you SHOULD be able to use a throwing weapon together with a second weapon AS LONG as that throwing weapon is in melee-mode. The game in its current state does however not permit that. Some throwing weapons actually add +1 APR, by the way (like the Firetooth throwing dagger), as long as you use them in throwing-mode. You can "cheat" in a main/off-hand with SK and thus gain another +1 APR weapon; but this is likely beyond cheese, as it's clearly exploiting unintentional bugs that go beyond the whole "no second weapon together with a range/melee hybrid" problem.
