    I just assumed that guy happened to share a name with the arch-druid Jaheira followed.

    Lol, that's true neutrality for you!

    Bg1 npc mod fixes this by making Seniyad recognise her student Jaheira and you can avoid blood shed by doing a quest for the 'good' druids:rescue of a spy from 'evil' shadow druids. (Before she is ritual-tortured and sacrificed to wild animals in a horrible manner!)
