Final Save Questions

I've played BGEE a couple of times now, and I noticed that the 'Final Save' of my earlier game is overridden by my later game. I assume that this means that, when I eventually instal BG2EE, the character that I can import will be the one from the most recent BGEE Final Save?

(I copied the earlier Final Save and moved it to a different file for safe keeping, so I'm not worried about 'losing' the earlier game; I'm just asking for a clarification about how the transfer from BGEE to BG2EE works.)

Also, I've recently removed the experience cap remover in order to 'resurrect' my earlier games and play through a few quests that I didn't bother to do earlier because of the experience cap. Will a character who has exceeded the BG experience cap in a 'Final Save' be transferable to BG2EE?

Thanks!

When you import to BG2, you can use any save you have available; the "Final Save" is there to represent the most recent version of your character, so that you can import directly from the end of BG1 to the beginning of BG2.

If you've removed the XP cap and exceeded it, your character should import just fine.

You could also export the character itself from the final save, then you wouldn't have to keep the save around and you wouldn't have to worry about it getting overwritten.
