"There was a problem with Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition"

Everytime my husband tries to run BG, it gives the above error message from the launcher. The game is up to date, he is running as administrator. I am unsure what to try as the only other thread on this had everyone give up and get refunds. Can anyone help me?

    nevermind! I clicked find out more and tried the sound driver thingy the second option and it worked!
