UI Scale and another problem

I can't figure out a way to make the UI scale properly when in 1280 x 1024 resolution, I've tried editing the Baldur.ini file already to no avail. The only way I can get the UI to look right is if I put my desktop resolution to 1024 x 768 which isn't really a good long term option.
The other problem is minor but quite an annoyance nevertheless, after using a Spell on a target, or a target area the character will start to move to that location after casting it.
