I bought it on GOG.com recently (NWN2) to try BGR, and having not played the original BG1, BGII or any of it's other expansions, find the outdated walkthroughs inordinately frustrating (as well as the area names often don't match up, etc.), so it's proving on the irritating side to track what is supposed to happen vs. the large number of bugged quests that dont mark or complete correctly in the journal.

Is anyone else new to BG (via only BGR) having this experience?

Wrote a large Cthulhu-themed mod for NWN1, but have not become proficient enough on the NWN2 toolset to track the journal entries and either write a script to close out the bugged entries, or hex-edit the save game to mark the variables for "nEntryID" to reflect state completed.

Thought I'd figured out a solution/workaround - used the "notes" section of Journal to enter the active quests, then just backspace to delete them when completed. Lo and behold, after a few saves and reloads, all the notes were gone. . Keeping them on paper going forward.
