One copy for multiplyer

I would like to know if I buy one copy of BG:EE, I will be able to play multiplyer game with my girlfriend on my laptop and compuer? Or I will need 2 copies for that?

    You can, yes. Although of course we'd prefer it if you bought your girlfriend a copy as well, you can install the game on any computer you own and connect with multiplayer between them.

    Due to recent developments... I think that might be hindered slightly.

    Is what you said still true if forced to buy from the Atari website?

    The version being sold on the Atari website is the Steam version, so it should function the same way as that; which is to say, it follows the same restrictions as any game played through Steam.
