I really enjoy the Infinity Engine games the most. It beats every other rpg released ever (for me, and I am sure for a lot of others).
I don't want the latest 3D engine driven game with fake facial expressions, I don't want only my character with limited interaction between his one henchmen arpg type of rpg.
I want more BG1 / BG2 / PST/ IWD1 / IWD2 especially if it is like PST
Please, I want to pay Overhaul for new content at the full price of a AAA title with all new content. I want a BG3 or PST2
I am sure a lot of others want it as well. So setup a kickstarter page and I will deposit my $59.99 as soon as it goes online.
You definitely have a market which will swoop it up, no doubts.

BG3 is next after BG2:EE
A lot of games today focus so much on high end graphics and put a HUGE focus on social interaction (not to be confused with Role playing) instead of good honest game play, tactical combat and good story lines. While those things can be nice, it's a little like coming down the stairs on Xmas (or whatever holiday you celebrate) and seeing a really pretty shiny box with your name on.... it only to find a crummy sweater inside. Big presentation, little or no delivery.
BG absolutely hit a high water mark for RPG games that most of the stuff today simply can't match. The depth of the game play and the lovingly crafted characters and environments found in BG1-2 and PST are exactly what this community wants and would pay for.
I thought it was funny when, during a panel on the development of Dragon Age 3, the developers commented about some of the complaints about DA2. They said specifically that they would go back to what Baldur's gate did and go from there. That, to me, really spoke volumes to the amount of love in the community that there is for this game franchise even all these years later.
Also, it really looks like (from what little I have seen) Project Eternity and Wasteland 2 are shaping up very similar to BG series (but with an updated engine). Hopefully.
as for the good folks at Overhaul. Clearly there is a market for this type of game. And equally clearly you folks have done a marvelous job with BG. If you had the opportunity to do something like it in the future, you would quite clearly find quite a good deal of support from us, the greatful fans and consumers.
