Apparently Minsc, Kivan, and Coran have changed alignments (slight spoilers)

So here I am, playing BG:EE, and this amusing item happened.

I used EE Keeper to drop my rep from 20 to 14 a while ago to get Laurel to talk to me, so that may have something to do with it.

Pfft, yeah I've had this sort of shit happen to me.

Although personally Minsc seems awfully Chaotic Neutral in BG1 if you ask me.

Also good lord you have a powerhouse of a party. Dynaheir is kinda bad but other than that...

Yeah, this party is a bit op... also Charname is an Archer, so I basically have Minc charging in to hold the front line, then everyone one else turns foes into a pincushion.

Maybe mixing in the EE keeper lead to this minor but as if you're filling an negative reputation alignment.

I'm guessing however, but maybe when you diminish 20 to 14, the game unseen strings read 20 (-6) instead of 14, thus every rep point you get now is just filling the negative unseen number rather than evolving your reputation.

If you keep hearing complains until you hit 20 again (if you don't lose any rep in the process) and the first rep point after you reach 20 make your NPCs cheer up, then i'm right and we discovered a new bug in EE keeper.

I'm pretty sure this is it.

It might be because while you are saving Samuel's life... and getting positive rep for doing so... he is technically a deserter and you've helped him escape from the proper authorities by taking him to the Friendly Arm instead of turning him over to the Flaming Fist.

If your rep is in a range that an NPC doesn't like, the NPC will complain about any change in your rep for as long as it stays within that range (even if it moves a step closer to a more favorable range).

BG:EE work rep different, if you raise reputation you get cheers from good characters and complains from evil characters, if you lose reputation you got cheers from evil characters and and complains from good.

Neutral characters now go a bit random, some praise evil behavior others praise good behavior.

I've had Kivan and Coran cheer for me killing Nadine. They were still reacting to getting reward, and there was a good 15 mins delay before they realized we killed her. Could be they still react to a rep drop that happened before.

Hahahah. This game is not even close to that smart bud, it's from 1998, keep that in mind.
