I think it was the first Fallout game that let players print out their character sheet, and I always thought that was really cool. What if we could print out our entire journal? Imagine ten years from now, rummaging through your chest of family keepsakes in the attic with your kids and you find that old binder of your favorite PC's journal from Baldur's Gate:

"Look at this, Timmy! Your mother and I were slaying ogres side by side before you were born. Don't believe me? Here's the proof! My name was Runebeard Fireaxe back then, though. And your mom was ~TwinkleDagger~ . . . neither of us were very imaginative."

Also a lot more paper and ink with all that UI surrounding it as opposed to an in-game print function that formats just the text to fit a standard page of printer paper.

Interesting idea. Not sure that I'd personally ever use this, but it's a cool idea, and it doesn't seem that it would be very hard to implement.
