Dynaheir vs Edwin (BG 1 + 2 spoilers) Question

Just wondering, are there any ramifications of killing Edwin in BG1 in BG2? Does he make any comment in BG2?

I just found out that if you already have Dynaheir with you when first speaking to Edwin, you can tell them to settle their differences and they'll duke it out. Naturally, Minsc butts in and the fight ends up being pretty one-sided.

I know that when you meet Xzar & Montaron in BG2 you get one dialogue option going "Woot? I thought you guys were dead?", don't know for sure if that's really related to my BG1 save where Jaheira and Khalid killed them. Drizzt also remembers if you attacked him or not, as I recall.

Edwin will still be in BG2 even though you killed him. There won't be any big changes to it. You can say that you remember him and such, but he won't go hostile.

You can say 'edwin! Aren't you supposed to be dead?' Or something like that. There is this option for nearly all recurring npcs in the game, it is not exclusively related to what you did in bg1, you'll get this option even if you started a bg2 game only. For fun and rp'ing I suppose. Then the npc will say 'I got better' 'fooled you!' 'Ah yes it was a little hindrance' or something to that effect and brush the subject aside.

Drizzt will attack you though, and if you are an elven pc named Drizzt Do'urden with bad reputation he will attack you anyway to protect his name. (Good touch by the devs there)

NPC's you kill in BG1 won't have an impact on whether or not they appear in BG2.

In a bgt game, if some npcs are perma-dead in bg1, they won't be found in bg2. Imoen is the sole exception, though.

OP hadn't said anything about using BGT so I didn't bring it up :)

I knew Edwin would return anyway, I was just wondering if you'd get an extra dialogue option in BG2.

I guess I'll just keep him alive.
