BG2 freezes/crashes when resting

When attempting to rest characters should wake up normally with their spellbooks restoring any spells placed for memorizing.
Instead computer freezes when pressing the rest button indefinately.
I have tried to trace the source of the problem and as it seems it is spellbook related to certain NPCs to me it has happened with Aerie(at least for me).The problem also occurs only in the expansion of Throne of Bhaal(again at least for me).
It seems that should the bugged spellcaster reach a certain level and above this problem occurs. It does not happen straight away when the spellcaster reaches a certain level but rather some unknown time inside the game.
Should the bugged spellcaster be expelled from the group rest can be done normally(which means its not a corrupt movie and Disable Movies=1 does not work).
I hope i have been as clear as possible and since it is late right here(GR) i will provide additional links and information should they be asked. I will also link previously made topics by me or others in hopes of further clarification.

And now a final question that i cant really make a topic for. Will mods need to be reviewed before installing them into enhanced editions? Will it be safe to reinstall them without bugs or will their creators have to re-configure their "existance" to this new edition?
