Ever heard of plagiarism? It's supposed to be a nod, not a copy :/

there is quite a bit of small plagiarism in bg1, some of shar-teel's lines are straight from the movie predator, you know that one with AH-nold in it who says; get to the CHOPPA :)

Alora says "Come on, people, now! Smile on your brother! Everybody get together! Try to love one another right now."

Didn't hear it for the first time in-game until, I think, three days ago.

I'm pretty sure that taking single lines doesn't count as plagiarism. Also, I believe Carroll's works are old enough to be public domain.

Was that a walrus and the carpenter reference? 'Calooh Callie no work today we're cabbages and kings!' There's also some Shakespeare in the game. I'm pretty sure Khalid nods at King Harry with a 'once more unto the breach dear friends! (Or close the wall up with our bhaalspawn dead :-)

I think that's a CHARNAME voice set, actually. BG2, if memory serves.

    I seem to remember it's Garrick's battlecry.
Would make sense for him to quote the Bard himself.

Oh hells, as I think about it, it might be a NWN2 voice set I'm thinking of. Oops.

There's a LOT of song, movie, and story references in NPC dialog.
